ZEOmag Magnesium Granulate is a highly pure source of magnesium specifically engineered for use in saltwater aquarium calcium reactors. It effectively addresses the common challenge of maintaining stable magnesium levels in reef tanks, especially when utilizing a calcium reactor, by providing a steady supply without introducing additional chloride or sulfate into the system. This magnesium granulate features a coarse grain size of 6-12 mm, making it an ideal addition to any calcium reactor. It is most commonly mixed with standard calcium carbonate media, comprising 10-30% of the total media blend, to ensure consistent and controlled magnesium supplementation. ZEOmag is best suited for reef aquarists who employ a calcium reactor and seek a reliable and pure method to stabilize their aquarium's magnesium levels. It is an essential component for those dedicated to precise water chemistry management and the long-term health and vibrant growth of their corals.

This stuff works great. I do the 30% ratio, and my corals love it. Like said in another review, it will raise your pH in your reactor. It raised mine to 9.4, for about 24 hours after rinsing it. Definitely helps keep my magnesium in line, and my system is always magnesium deficient without it. From here forward, I don’t think I will ever run my calcium reactor without Zeomag.
This product works well. Just be aware that it will increase the pH within your calcium reactor for 2-3 days. Mine shot up to like 9.5 after adding zeomag, even with a heavy injection of CO2. After about 2-3 days my calcium reactor was acting normally again. Others have had similar experiences on other reefing websites.
Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Mag level is perfect.
I use zeomag in my calcium reactor and it keeps my magnesium levels at ideal level
I have been using it for years. Keeps my acros happy
I used to use Dolomite, but over time while cleaning my reactor out, i would find the media melted and the dolomite just sank to the bottom. I gave Zeo Mag a try, and its much better. It has a clean white color opposed to dolomites dirty color. Also, it dissolves over time and maintains Magnesium. it might be a few dollars more then dolomite but its thousands of times better. You wont be disappointed.
