I bought two 100 watts and two 300 watt heaters and have used them for a year. I liked how they are much shorter than Eheim heaters. For one of the 300 watts heaters, it wouldn’t turn on in water at 73 degrees so I replaced it with an Eheim heater. While all of the heaters have a slight amount of condensation inside them, one of the 100 watts heaters had much more condensation and I didn’t want to risk my tank so I replaced this heater after using it for a year.
I had high hopes with this heater, but replaced it after 2 weeks of use. The heater would never reach 77deg. as it would shut off early, always. I could never get the temp above 23(Celsius) 73.5 (Fahrenheit). I switched over to the BRS titanium heater, and it works great.
Ordered two for a tank. One works flawlessly and one has problems kicking off too early. Tried to place it in a 5 gal bucket to see if it could eat it and it still has problems. Confirmed with two different thermometers.
Bought one of these because I read that I don't have to do anything but plug it in and it will maintain around 77 degrees. At this price with a 5 year warranty, no brainer. Works exactly as advertised.
I bought this brand of heater only because of the warranty. All I needed was a cheap heater to hold my temperature around 78 degrees for my quarantine tank. It states that it's preset to 77 degrees with two degrees of tolerance up/down. 24 hours later, happy to report that my 20 gallon is measuring 78 degrees and seems to be holding it there perfectly.
