First, reefbreeders has absolutely zero real instructions. One would think they’d have a YT video, a QR code to a website, or a quality pdf instructions. Well it has none of that. The QR code in the box doesn’t work, the website is less than useless, and there is zero video’s. The little controller is pointless. I messaged reefbreeders and they responded with basically plug it in and tap the button on the length of time you want it on and that’s it. Well there is no ramp up and down it’s either on or off. So basically I put it on a smart timer and that’s how I have to use it on my QT tank.
I'm using this light on a Lifegard 3.8 pico (8 x 11" footprint) and I am happy with it. I have not taken PAR measurements but I expect they would be similar to a Kessil A80. The schedule is easy to set: red controller light = 8 hours, green = 10, blue = 12. There is no ramp up/down as far as I can tell. For light, gooseneck, and controller included, the price ($84 on sale) is very good.
