The HMS Multi Light Mount Kit is an innovative solution for mounting Hydra LED modules in both saltwater and freshwater aquariums. This versatile kit allows you to customize your lighting setup by sliding the lights from side to side, ensuring optimal coverage and reduced shadowing. Constructed with high-quality aluminum that resists rust and keeps the system lightweight, this mount can accommodate tanks of any thickness, whether rimmed or rimless.

I remember the 1st rail & mounting AI had. I hated them bc you could hide the wires at all. This design is better & I was able to hide the wires with the wire clips. It looks cleaner. Ignore all this negative reviews, they don't even know how ugly the 1st rail mounting was. I have 2 prime 16 HD using the hanging kit. It all looks neat and good.
It blows me away that AI can produce such resilient and functional lights, and then put out these pieces of trash to mount them. I have the single on my 60 and bought the double for my 120 because I couldn’t find a good alternative. They are poorly constructed, and really expensive for what they are. I love the lights enough to stomach them, but if you can find an alternative its definitely better
I loved my Hydra 32 lights, but this mounting system is terrible. As someone else mentioned, the provided screws and Allen wrench are of poor quality and easily stripped. Every step of assembly is counterintuitive. Sliding the light onto the rail was frustrating. The screw has to be aligned perfectly and it’s not easy. I usually enjoy putting things together and following instructions, but this was frustrating. The end result is also disappointing, the cables don’t all fit into the cheap plastic clips so it ends up looking messy. It feels like a prototype, not a finished product for an expensive light.
I purchased this whole setup from BRS, and when it arrived the feet would not slide onto the metal rail. After speaking with AI support, they sent out new feet - which also would not slide onto the rail. They then replaced the whole unit, which still had the same problem. The feet are poorly designed/manufactured, so they will not slide all the way onto the metal rail. Upon speaking with other people in the hobby, they experienced this same issue. It's clearly a design issue that AI has yet to resolve or even recognize (since they just tried replacing components, not actually fixing the design issue). Overall I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of the design of the mounting feet and the support I have received in resolving this issue.
Just FYI--My Hydra 26's had to be replaced so I went with the newer 32's which I was told also fit on this rail. They do, but the problem is the new 32's have wires about 3 times as thick so there's no way you can hide them in the grooves made for the 26's.
It clearly states what you need,, I'm ordering now
I would give it a -5 stars if I could. I bought the whole package 2 Hydra 26HD and this rail system. Lights are great of course but the railing system is of very poor quality. First of all inside tracks do not allow you to hide the cords, so they provide these plastic clips which clamp the cord to the inside of the rail but not inside the tracks. Screws are cheap and hard to tighten with provided cheap metal key which slipped and ruined the thread. Plastic clamps that hold the whole system do not allow you to slide the whole structure so mine now stands 18" above the tank. I don't know now what to do with this garbage. If I take it apart and send it back I lose money, but even if I wanted to I cnat take out a screw bcs the thread snapped.. Again, lights are great and I'm glad I have replaced my old system but fixture is not worth a dime.
BRS clearly states that more items are needed beyond this kit. They have a "What's Included" section. I didn't purchase from BRS, but for $250 for everything, I have $1750 worth of Hydras hanging over open water. Clean looking and secure. If you have an issue with cost, you need to pick a new hobby.
I was disappointed in this product. It is a multilight kit that isn't functional without two separate product purchases, which in effect doubles its price. However the picture on the initial page shows products that are not included. Disappointing and deceptive.
I echo previous comments about the misleading advertising. The picture on the website clearly includes the top rail, while that is not included in the kit. There may be misunderstanding as to what "kit" means. Then, once I assembled the complete kit, the top mounting bar sliced open the power cord. Just an unpleasant buying experience which is disappointing considering previous experience with BRS.
If you purchase the appropriate items needed for your setup, this is a nice way to mount your Hydra’s. A bit of a pain to route the cables, but not bad.
Bulk reef website does not mention ( at the time I am writing this) that this kit does not include mounting rail. I checked other sites and the specifically say what is and isn't included. The HMS kit is fine. Bulk reef supply... never use them again.
Warning* You have to buy the mounting brackets and the mounting rail separately... Why Can't you offer this as a full kit instead of nickel and dimming your customers... Also, It's outrageous how much each individual piece costs. Don't get me wrong, I love the lights AI makes but this is not cool. I will give it 3 stars because it looks nice when you have all the pieces but still think it's over priced.
Absolutely love this setup. I have a 5 foot 105-gallon tank with a Ghost Overflow. I wasn't able to use the ARM mounts AI offers due to the ghost overflow. They look great a friend of mine uses them. So I went with this option. I was a little skeptical but when I got the kit it looked great. I setup the brackets and lights and dang this thing looks super sharp. I have three LED's over my tank. You are able to hide all the cords inside the arms or the light mount. Everything looks cordless. Totally worth the cost and build really really well. BRS package this really nice came with no scratches and shipping was really fast! Thanks, BRS.
