The Reef Brite 15" Mogul Pendant Kit is a high-performance metal halide lighting system designed to deliver powerful, full-spectrum illumination for saltwater reef aquariums. This pendant provides the intense, shimmering light that is proven to promote exceptional growth and vibrant coloration in corals. Engineered for medium to large-sized tanks, this fixture serves as a robust foundation for a professional-grade lighting setup, bringing the intensity of natural sunlight to your aquatic ecosystem.

This pendant system features a durable, black powder-coated 15-inch reflector and a standard mogul base socket. While the base kit provides pure metal halide output, it is designed for customization and can be upgraded with Reef Brite XHO LEDs to create a modern hybrid lighting solution for enhanced color and control. Please note that a compatible metal halide ballast is required for operation and is sold separately, allowing you to choose the best ballast for your specific bulb and needs.

This lighting kit is ideal for the experienced reef aquarist looking to cultivate light-demanding species such as SPS corals or to illuminate deeper aquariums effectively. Hobbyists who appreciate the unique aesthetic and proven performance of metal halide lighting will find this pendant to be a reliable and powerful choice. Its adaptability also appeals to those who wish to build a customized hybrid system tailored to the specific demands of their reef.
