This version of ALK testing requires drops from a pipette. Each drop requires shaking for 10 seconds. To get a reading of 8.4 requires 20 drops and 10 seconds per drop. A lot of room for error. I am going to order the other Red Sea test kit far easier.

I really only wanted the pH component of this (wish they had a pH only kit!) but even still, cost effective, fast, and pretty easy to read.

The dropper on the Alk is inaccurate and only measures whole numbers. My readings fluctuatate too much, so I'm going back to the other RedSea Pro kit. Red Sea color changing tests are read best is daylight, so I don't care for the PH test either. I do most of my testing at night, and the colors do not match the card well. I prefer th Elos brand for PH.
