The Sea Side Aquatics Aquarium Chiller Cooling Fan offers a simple and cost-effective solution for managing minor temperature increases in your aquarium. Utilizing the principle of evaporative cooling, this fan system can effectively lower your tank's temperature by a few degrees, providing a stable environment for your inhabitants. It serves as an excellent alternative to a full-blown refrigerant chiller, especially when dealing with slight, seasonal temperature spikes or heat generated from powerful aquarium lighting.
Ready to use right out of the box, this cooling fan requires no assembly and installs easily with an included hinged mounting bracket. The adjustable bracket allows you to precisely direct airflow across the water's surface or even over your lighting system to help extend its longevity. These low-power consumption units are available in three models (2, 4, or 6 fans) to suit various tank sizes, delivering air flow from 31.5 to 45.5 CFM. The mounting bracket is designed to fit on tank rims up to a half-inch thick.
This product is perfectly suited for aquarists with nano or mid-sized aquariums up to 60 gallons who need a budget-friendly way to combat minor heat issues. If you notice your tank's temperature creeping up by a degree or two during warmer months or when your lights are on, this fan is an ideal solution. It provides the necessary cooling to maintain stability without the significant investment, complexity, and space requirements of a traditional aquarium chiller.

Bought this after putting a lid on my tank. I needs the brackets to be thin to fit between the lid and the glass. That works except the screws are on the wrong side of the bracket so it doesn’t work. I also had plans of installing this with the brackets on the outside of my Waterbox overflow so it sat in the middle of the tank. I measured everything and it should have fit off of the listed 14.5” long for the 4 fan model. But the length is incorrect. It’s only about 11 inches long. So far once I rigged it is bringing the temp down in my 90 gallon tank very slowly.
I bought the 4 fan one off of Amazon and has works awesome for the last 2 summers. Have a rsr250 it’s set up on my apex and love it. It’s half the price on Amazon
I love it so far I have 4 fans hooked up to my 20 gal waterbox cube that used to heat up with the radion lights . I have the fan hooked up to the apex so as soon as it senses the temperature they turn on . If it get to hot the apex will turn my lights off to help the fans cool my tank . As everyone else says the install knobs are backwards but What can we do the fans work great for me . 4 fans on a 20 gal over kill but work great
it does work but broke after one year. The issue is the salt got into it.. As water evaporated, salt left behind damaged the fans...
Mounts backwards (screw clamps are on the inside of the tank). If fan is turned around, then the ability to tilt the fan towards the water is lost and the fan tilts upwards. The fan also blows the wrong way. and the manufacturer is Jebo.
Bought 2 fan version to maintain the temp on my Waterbox 20 Cube, which tends to overheat in my office. The good news is that it works. Temp stays even all day. The bad news is that it's loud. Like the review from Pen above says, it's like a pc fan at max. Sounds like a racecar. The mount is indeed backwards. I installed it the way you'd think, with the turn tabs on the back wall of the tank facing out. But it actually needs to be the other way, which messes up your lid. I was able to fix this by opening the mount and flipping the fans the other way. BUT, this makes it at you can't adjust the fan forward anymore. Overall it works, but I might be looking for a quieter option. Hoped getting an aquarium specific one would be better than a generic one.
For starters, it makes an awful amount of noise for the amount of air moved. Think the sound of your PC fan (which they really are) on full times 20. They are small fans on max rpm so it’s that whistle like whirling sound. Slightly larger fans on 1/2 rpm would have been great. 2nd, it’s almost like they built the mount backwards. It is hard to explain, but you can’t use the Red Sea net top if you want it to blow over the water (not sure if any top would work). If you install it backwards it actually kinda allows the top to be on and the thumbscrews on the outside, but then you have a room fan not a tank fan. This is exactly the cheep Chinese off brand stuff one would get off Amazon; not what I would have expected BRS to carry. Gave 2 stars since I guess it could work and cool a tank, but really a 1 star for how much this costs for what you get.
This fan cools my 24 Gallon real well. It is a little bit noisy but only as much as 2 small fans can be. Sometimes it doesn't turn on right away, have to turn off and on again. For the money it is just fine!
