The EcoTech Marine Vectra Battery Backup Booster is an essential interface designed to connect directly between the controller on a Vectra series return pump and an Ecotech battery backup unit. This device ensures your aquarium system maintains critical water flow during power outages, preventing oxygen depletion in both your display tank and sump within hours of a failure. By bridging these components, it allows high-performance Vectra pumps to operate seamlessly on emergency power, safeguarding the biological stability of your reef environment when grid power is lost.

Key features include a plug-and-play design that connects in seconds for immediate setup during emergencies. The unit supports an Auto On/Off mode which helps conserve battery life by managing pump cycles intelligently. Users can calibrate their Vectra pumps to set specific flow rates and on-off intervals, maximizing runtime based on the capacity of their backup system. It is crucial to note that this booster is exclusively compatible with EcoTech Vectra Return Pumps and using it with other products may cause damage.

This product is best for reef hobbyists who rely on Vectra return pumps and want to guarantee continuous circulation during unexpected power failures. It is ideal for aquariums where maintaining water movement and oxygenation is critical to the survival of sensitive corals and fish. By extending the operational time of your return pump on battery power, it provides peace of mind that your system's health will be preserved until electricity is restored.
