I haven't been able to try this yet because it does not work with my mac. What they don't mention is that it doesn't work with the slightly older version of mac. All called tech support. They said there may be an update by the end of the week. If so Ill come back and change my review. If not I'll be returning this and buying another product.
Never owned a par meter before and really contemplated this purchase for a while. Was looking at the Seneye just for par purposes but it seems their customer service isn’t reliable. Glad I went with the apogee, just hook this up to a laptop and get your readings. It’s amazing how leds really spotlight your corals and this helps you figure out where to place things, etc. definitely worth it in my opinion.
Super don't know how I did without one for so many years. Game changer..
I use this with a mac to get par readings when I'm adjusting my Kessil lights. It gives me a good idea of where to place corals and how much light is getting to various parts of the tank. I chose this one over the other 520 because I didn't need the hand held reader and can instead use my computer for the reading. The program will also save readings measured at specified intervals into an excel file.
