The Tunze DOC Skimmer 9430 is a high-performance protein skimmer designed to efficiently remove dissolved organic compounds from large saltwater aquarium systems. This powerful internal skimmer utilizes Tunze's advanced Hydrofoamer technology to generate a massive volume of fine air bubbles, creating a rich foam that effectively extracts protein waste, phenols, and other pollutants before they can break down into harmful nitrates and phosphates. Its robust construction and reliable operation ensure stable water chemistry and exceptional water clarity, which are critical for the health of sensitive coral and marine life.

Engineered for serious performance, the DOC Skimmer 9430 boasts an impressive air capacity of 1,100 liters per hour and a water flow rate of 1,600 liters per hour, all while consuming a modest 32 watts of power on the US 115V/60Hz model. It features a generous 2-liter skimmer cup to minimize maintenance frequency. The unit is designed for a flexible immersion depth between 100 mm and 200 mm without requiring complicated adjustments, simplifying installation in a variety of sump configurations. Its overall dimensions are 350 mm x 300 mm x 490 mm, making it a substantial yet manageable addition to your filtration system.

This skimmer is the ideal solution for advanced hobbyists and professionals managing large marine aquariums up to 800 US gallons (3,000 liters). Its high capacity makes it particularly well-suited for heavily stocked reef tanks or fish-only systems with a significant bioload. Aquarists seeking a powerful, energy-efficient, and easy-to-maintain skimmer that delivers consistent, top-tier performance for maintaining pristine water quality in a large-scale setup will find the Tunze DOC Skimmer 9430 to be an excellent investment.
