The Shark Skimmer, manufactured by Sicce, is a high-performance protein skimmer engineered to efficiently remove organic waste and dissolved proteins from saltwater reef aquariums. This essential piece of equipment helps maintain pristine water quality by extracting unsightly and harmful pollutants before they break down, ensuring a healthier and more stable environment for your aquatic inhabitants. It comes in various models, each tailored to specific aquarium needs.

Key features across the Shark Skimmer line include an opaque body that protects internal components from light, preventing unwanted algae growth, and a newly designed self-cleaning impeller specifically optimized for highly efficient skimming. Both models feature a convenient brush for maintenance. The 150-4W model offers instant skimming with diffusion, while the 300-5W model provides counter-current skimming with an adjustable water entrance and is ozone compatible. All models boast a waterproof magnetic connection system, rated for glass up to 15 mm (0.6") thick, ensuring secure and flexible placement.

With its effective protein diffusion and special large bottom surface, the Shark Skimmer is an excellent choice for breeding tanks or for seamless integration into internal filtration systems. Its discreet and compact profile makes it an unobtrusive addition to any setup, appealing to aquarists who prioritize aesthetics without compromising performance. The combination of powerful waste removal, ease of maintenance, and robust design makes it ideal for hobbyists seeking reliable and efficient water purification for their reef aquariums.
