Seachem's The Bag is a premium filtration media bag designed for use in saltwater and freshwater aquariums. It serves as a durable container for various types of loose chemical filtration media, such as carbon, phosphate removers, or other specialized resins. By securely holding the media, it allows for maximum water flow and contact time, ensuring efficient removal of impurities from the water column. This open box item offers the same high-quality performance of a new product at a reduced price, with the only difference being that the original packaging may be opened or slightly damaged.

The Bag features an extremely durable, welded seam construction, which is far more robust than traditional stitched seams that can break down over time. It is constructed from a 10 micron polyester mesh, making it ideal for holding even the finest granular media without any leakage. The bag is chemically resistant to bleach, caustics, and acids, and includes a non-metallic, resealable locking closure for added convenience and safety in a reef environment. Its design ensures it can be used and reused many times without degrading.

This product is perfect for reef aquarium hobbyists who utilize granular filter media and require a reliable, high-flow, and reusable solution. Its fine mesh size is particularly beneficial for those using small particle media like Seachem's own Purigen or fine-grain GFO, preventing media from escaping into the sump or display tank. The open box value makes it an excellent choice for budget-conscious aquarists who do not want to compromise on the quality and performance of essential filtration equipment.
