Its powerful binding action permanently removes contaminants, ensuring they do not leach back into the aquarium water, creating a cleaner and more stable aquatic environment.

The unique spherical, bead-shaped design of PhosGuard ensures optimal water flow and maximum contact time, preventing channeling and maximizing its removal capacity. This highly porous material offers an exceptional surface area for irreversible binding of phosphate and silicate. For best results, use 85 mL (about 1/3 cup) in a high-flow area or filter media bag for every 50 gallons of saltwater. The media may generate heat on initial contact with water and should be pre-rinsed in freshwater before use.

This product is ideal for saltwater reef aquarists and freshwater hobbyists who are battling high levels of phosphate or silicate, which are common causes of persistent algae problems.
