Salifert Flatworm Exit by Salifert - Test Kits

Salifert Flatworm Exit is a specialized treatment designed to safely and effectively eliminate pest flatworms (Convolutriloba) from your saltwater reef aquarium. This solution is carefully formulated to be harmless to fish and invertebrates, including corals and shrimp, while being lethal to the targeted flatworms. It acts quickly to eradicate infestations that can otherwise smother corals and become a nuisance in a reef environment.

This treatment is highly concentrated, with a single package capable of treating up to 300 gallons of aquarium water. For best results, it is crucial to siphon out as many flatworms as possible before dosing to minimize the release of their toxic body fluids upon death. During treatment, using a powerhead can help dislodge worms from hidden crevices. After the flatworms have been eliminated, you must perform another siphoning of the dead worms and add high-quality activated carbon, at a rate of approximately 1 pound per 50 gallons, to absorb any released toxins. Being prepared for a 25% water change is also highly recommended as a precautionary measure.

This product is essential for any reef aquarist facing a persistent flatworm problem that cannot be controlled by manual removal or natural predators. It is the ideal solution for hobbyists who need to protect their delicate corals and other reef inhabitants from the rapid spread and potential toxicity of a large flatworm population. By following the instructions carefully, aquarists can restore their tank's health and balance without harming their prized livestock.
