The RO XL Carbon Block Filter 4.5 x 20 1 Micron is a crucial component for any high-performance reverse osmosis and deionization system used in saltwater reef aquariums. This advanced carbon block is designed to effectively remove chlorine, chloramines, volatile organic compounds, pesticides, and other harmful impurities from your tap water before it reaches the RO membrane. By pre-filtering these contaminants, it protects subsequent filtration stages and ensures the production of exceptionally pure water, vital for the health and stability of sensitive reef ecosystems.

Measuring an impressive 4.5 inches in diameter and 20 inches in length, this extra-large carbon block offers superior contaminant absorption capacity and a longer lifespan compared to standard filters, reducing the frequency of replacements. Its 1-micron nominal filtration rating ensures the capture of even very fine particulates, sediment, and cysts, delivering highly polished water. This robust construction and fine filtration make it an ideal choice for both residential and commercial reefkeeping applications requiring consistent, high-quality water.

This carbon block filter is best suited for serious reef aquarists and enthusiasts operating larger RO/DI systems or those with municipal water supplies known for high chlorine or chloramine levels. It is an essential investment for anyone dedicated to maintaining a pristine aquatic environment for their corals, invertebrates, and fish, providing the foundational element for successful salt mixing and evaporation top-off without introducing unwanted pollutants. Ensure your aquarium receives only the purest water with this high-capacity filtration solution.
