The RO 10" Clear Sump Housing with White Rib Cap is a versatile filter housing designed for use in saltwater aquarium reverse osmosis/deionization (RO/DI) systems and other water purification setups. This essential component securely holds 2.5 inch diameter filter cartridges, functioning as either a pre-filtration stage to remove sediment and chlorine, or a post-filtration stage for polishing purified water before it enters your reef tank. It ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality, pure water vital for the health and stability of your delicate marine environment.

Constructed as part of the Hydronix HF3 series, this 10-inch clear housing allows for easy visual inspection of the installed cartridge, enabling timely replacement and maintenance. It features a durable white rib cap with 1/4 inch Female Pipe Thread (FPT) ports for straightforward integration into your existing plumbing, along with a convenient pressure relief button for safe and simple cartridge changes. The housing is compatible with most standard 9 7/8 inch and 10 inch filter cartridges, offering flexibility for various filtration needs.

This filter housing is an excellent choice for reef aquarium hobbyists seeking to build a custom RO/DI system, replace an existing housing, or add dedicated filtration for specific water parameters. Its robust design and clear body provide peace of mind by allowing you to monitor filter performance directly, preventing potential issues from clogged or exhausted cartridges. By providing a reliable enclosure for your filtration media, it helps maintain the pristine water quality necessary for thriving corals, fish, and invertebrates in your saltwater setup.
