Nice fit and finish. Love the look. My XR-15 hangs well but I shimmed the arm to be level on the long reach. Xr-30 still hangs down, not because or arm flex but because you can not make it tight so it does not slip up the glass. It then flexes in the clamp. Push it down on glass its level. Come back 45 min later its tilted down. Tighten more and it will brake. It takes tools to brake it. Needs to hold glass better to stay level. OCD cant stand the downward dog.
The base is not adequate to keep the light from tilting forward making it unlevel front to back.
I am not sure why anyone would give this light less than 5 stars. It is built to last out of all aluminum and very sturdy. Has held my XR30 with no issues or complaints. It doesn't bother me that it is not adjustable vertically as the BRS recommended height it 8".
Using this for Neptune sky lights. Works well enough, does have a very slight lean forward. Would be great if height could be adjusted also.
The arm has a problem in the geometric design, you can never have it at 90 degrees, it will look fallen. They don't do such a simple thing well, I can't imagine the lamps I have, I regret having bought all my lamps in radion. NO MORE ECOTECH PRODUCT
I put one of these on my 40 Cube rimless with a Gen5 Radion Pro. The mount is very sturdy and easy to assemble. I also like the ability to easily move the light backwards and forwards to fit where you want it over your tank. They're three downsides to the mount for me. First, when the light is mounted, the weight bends the Radion forward some as if it is leaning. This is disconcerting as it puts stress on the glass where the mount is. Second, it's non-adjustable which limits the height of the light off the top of the water. From the lens to the water there is 8 inches. So this is actually the BRS recommended height which is good, but appears just a bit close for my liking. Third, since it is a bit low, it's very easy to bump the light when you are doing virtually anything to the tank. The slightest bump and the mount starts shaking back and forth. Most mounts probably do this sometimes, but this one seems to have more movement than others. Would I buy it again? If I had no way to hang the light, or had a wife that didn't want it hung from the ceiling on cables (my situation
