The RL Filter Media Replacement Cartridge 2-Pack offers a comprehensive and convenient filtration solution for your compatible rimless desktop aquarium. Each package contains two complete cartridges, designed to ensure crystal clear water and a healthy, stable environment for your delicate marine life by addressing mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration needs.

Each self-contained replacement cartridge includes the physical plastic housing along with four critical media components: one filter floss pad, one pack of ceramic rings, one pack of activated carbon, and one mechanical sponge. The filter floss and mechanical sponge provide essential mechanical filtration, trapping detritus and particulate matter, while the activated carbon effectively removes odors, discolorations, and dissolved organic impurities. The ceramic rings offer a high-surface-area home for beneficial nitrifying bacteria, supporting crucial biological filtration. For optimal water quality, it is recommended to replace the activated carbon, filter floss, and mechanical sponge monthly.

This 2-pack is specifically designed for seamless integration with the RL 6 Gallon Rimless Desktop (RL-6-CP), 8 Gallon Rimless Desktop (RL-8-FP), and both 10 Gallon Rimless Desktop Aquariums (RL-10-FP and RL-10-FPP). It is an essential purchase for dedicated aquarists seeking to maintain a pristine and thriving saltwater reef, ensuring consistent filtration performance and simplifying routine aquarium maintenance for these popular desktop models.
