The Reef Octopus Regal 300-SSS is a high-performance, in-sump protein skimmer designed to deliver powerful filtration for saltwater aquariums up to 600 gallons. Its innovative design is ideal for systems where sump space is limited, efficiently removing dissolved organic compounds from the water column to maintain superior water quality and clarity. This skimmer is engineered to be a cornerstone of your aquarium's life support system, promoting a healthier environment for all marine inhabitants. Constructed from high-quality cast acrylic, the Regal 300-SSS features a hybrid conical body that naturally concentrates organic-rich foam as it rises for efficient collection. At its heart is the advanced VarioS 6S, a controllable DC pinwheel pump that offers exceptional performance and energy efficiency. Unlike traditional AC pumps, the VarioS pump allows for precise electronic control over air and water flow rates with five variable speed settings, enabling you to fine-tune the skimmer's performance with the simple push of a button. An included float switch provides an essential safety feature that shuts off the pump when the collection cup is full. This protein skimmer is best suited for the dedicated marine aquarist with a large reef or fish-only system who demands precision, control, and reliability. The ability to dial in the skimmer's performance makes it perfect for hobbyists looking to optimize nutrient export for a thriving, low-nutrient environment. If you are seeking a powerful, quiet, and highly adjustable filtration solution that can handle a heavy bioload in a large tank, the Regal 300-SSS offers the advanced features and robust build quality necessary to achieve pristine water conditions.
