The ReefH2O 7"x16" 200 Micron Filter Sock with Draw String provides essential mechanical filtration for saltwater reef aquariums. Designed to be placed in overflows or sumps, it effectively captures and removes fine floating particles from the water column, dramatically enhancing overall water clarity and quality. This critical first step in filtration helps prevent the accumulation of detritus and organic waste that can degrade system health.

Crafted from durable 200 micron polyester felt, this filter sock measures approximately 7.06 inches in diameter by 16.5 inches in length. Its robust construction is ideal for trapping small particles such as dust, excess food, silt, and other detritus. The integrated draw string allows for easy and secure attachment directly to plumbing, ensuring a snug fit and preventing bypass, while the bulk packaging offers convenience for regular replacement.

This filter sock is an indispensable tool for any reef aquarist seeking to maintain pristine water conditions and reduce system maintenance. By routinely removing particulate matter, it safeguards expensive pump motors from damage, minimizes the need for sump cleaning, and lessens the burden on biological filtration by intercepting waste before it breaks down. Regular use of these socks leads to consistently crystal-clear water and a healthier, more stable reef environment for corals and fish.
