The Reef Octopus VarioS 6S is a high-performance, controllable DC water pump designed as a direct replacement or upgrade for a wide range of Reef Octopus protein skimmers. Engineered for efficiency and reliability, this pump is the heart of your skimmer, expertly drawing in air and water to create the fine micro-bubbles necessary for pulling dissolved organic compounds out of your aquarium water. Its purpose is to enhance your skimmer's performance, leading to a cleaner, healthier, and more stable marine environment for your corals and fish.

This pump is powered by a safe, low-voltage 36V DC motor that consumes up to 70 watts, providing powerful performance within a compact 5.11 by 5.7-inch footprint. The included VarioS controller is a standout feature, offering precise control over the pump's flow rate. It also includes several advanced functions such as multiple pause durations for feeding, a float switch safety connection to prevent skimmer overflows, and a 0-10v input that allows for seamless integration with third-party aquarium controllers like the Neptune Apex or GHL ProfiLux.

The VarioS 6S pump is the ideal solution for advanced aquarists seeking to maximize the efficiency and safety of their existing Reef Octopus protein skimmer. It is specifically designed for owners of models such as the Regal 220, 250, and 300 series, various Diablo DCS and SRO models, and the Classic 250int. If you are looking to replace a failing pump or upgrade to a more controllable and feature-rich option for superior waste extraction and system automation, this pump provides a powerful and intelligent foundation for your reef aquarium's filtration.
