The Reef Octopus Regal 150-SSS in-sump protein skimmer provides powerful and efficient filtration for saltwater aquariums up to 210 gallons, especially in sumps with limited space. Its innovative hybrid conical body design naturally stabilizes and concentrates the organic-rich foam, effectively removing dissolved organic waste from the water column before it can break down and pollute the aquarium. This compact unit ensures a cleaner, healthier environment for your reef inhabitants. Equipped with a new generation Reef Octopus controllable Direct Current VarioS pinwheel skimmer pump, this model offers advanced variable speed flow technology for refined control, enhanced performance, and superior efficiency. Unlike traditional AC pumps, the DC VarioS allows users to electronically control the motor's rotational speed, thus precisely adjusting air and water flow rates into the skimmer. The VarioS Controller also features a float switch connection, with a float switch included, adding an extra layer of safety. Constructed from high-quality cast acrylic, the skimmer disassembles completely for easy cleaning, and its specifications include a 6-inch body, 9x7.5-inch footprint, 3-inch neck, and a total height of 23.6 inches. This protein skimmer is ideal for reef hobbyists seeking a high-performance, space-saving filtration solution for their aquariums up to 210 gallons. The precise control offered by the VarioS DC pump allows users to fine-tune skimmer operation with the push of a button, adapting to varying bioloads and tank conditions. Its compact footprint makes it particularly suitable for sumps where space is a premium, while its robust construction and ease of maintenance ensure long-term reliability and consistent water quality for a thriving reef.
