The Reef Octopus Octo Classic CLSC-150-SS is a high-performance in-sump protein skimmer engineered to provide powerful biological filtration for saltwater aquariums up to 210 gallons. This internal model operates by drawing water directly from the sump without requiring an external feed pump, making it an efficient solution for maintaining pristine water quality by removing dissolved organic waste before it breaks down into harmful nitrates and phosphates.

Constructed from durable high-quality acrylic, this unit features a compact footprint of 7.3 inches by 9.45 inches with a body diameter of just 6 inches, designed specifically to fit into sumps where space is limited. It is powered by the ultra-efficient Aquatrance 2000s Pinwheel pump which creates an ideal mix of air and water for optimal waste removal, while a simple vented wedge valve allows for precise control over output flow. The design includes a collection cup that can be easily removed and the entire unit can be completely disassembled for thorough cleaning and maintenance.

This skimmer is best suited for reef keepers with smaller sumps or those who need to maximize limited space without compromising on filtration capacity. Its quiet operation, achieved by exiting cleaned water below the water line, makes it ideal for display tanks where noise levels must be kept low. Hobbyists looking for a reliable, sleek, and powerful skimming solution that simplifies their setup by eliminating the need for additional feed pumps will find this model to be an excellent investment for their reef system.
