The Reef Octopus Classic 110-INT is a high-performance in-sump protein skimmer designed to efficiently remove dissolved organic waste from saltwater aquariums. By creating a dense micro-bubble foam, it effectively strips proteins and other pollutants from the water column before they can break down into harmful nitrates and phosphates. This process is essential for maintaining superior water quality, promoting coral health, and ensuring crystal clear water in reef systems up to 130 gallons.

This skimmer is engineered for reliability and quiet operation, powered by the ultra-efficient Aquatrance 1000s pinwheel pump which consumes only 9 watts of power. Key features include a refined hybrid cone body for stable foamate production, an enhanced venturi air injection system, and a bubble diffuser plate to reduce turbulence. Its compact 10.4" x 7" footprint and 19.75" height allow it to fit in most sumps, operating optimally in a water depth of 7 to 8 inches. A quick-release collection cup with a drain and a precision water level control valve make maintenance and tuning simple and straightforward.

The Classic 110-INT is an excellent choice for aquarists seeking a proven and affordable filtration solution for their reef tank. It is best suited for aquariums with varying bioloads, handling a light filtration demand for a 130-gallon tank, a medium demand for a 90-gallon system, or a heavy filtration demand for a 60-gallon aquarium. Its solid acrylic construction and user-friendly design make it a durable and dependable workhorse for both new and experienced hobbyists dedicated to maintaining a pristine marine environment.
