The MRC Recirculating Protein Skimmer is a high-performance filtration device engineered for serious saltwater reef aquariums. Utilizing a unique dual-pump design, these skimmers efficiently remove dissolved organic compounds and particulate waste from your system, preventing nutrient buildup and promoting a pristine, healthy environment for corals and fish. By recirculating the water through a powerful injection system, it maximizes contact time with air bubbles, ensuring superior waste extraction.

Available in models rated for systems from 450 up to 1450 gallons, these skimmers feature robust construction with varying footprints and heights to accommodate different sump configurations. Each unit incorporates two injectors for optimal air-water mixing and a 1.5-inch threaded gate valve for precise foam production control. Specific models recommend powerful recirculating pumps like the Pan World 150 PS, Vectra L2, or BL-70, alongside a separate feed pump to achieve recommended flow rates, typically turning over the tank's water volume 1.5 to 2 times per hour for maximum efficiency.

This protein skimmer line is ideal for dedicated reef hobbyists seeking professional-grade filtration and exceptional water quality in their medium to very large aquariums. Its advanced recirculating design allows for independent control over water processing and air injection, delivering consistent and powerful organic waste removal. Investing in an MRC Recirculating Protein Skimmer ensures a stable, low-nutrient environment, critical for the long-term health and vibrant growth of demanding reef inhabitants.
