I have had this light a little over a year now and I am starting to run into issues. When lights start to dim the light bar starts to flash like a strobe light.
You have to buy the control system separately and it does not work at all
Thank you, BRS for a great light and awsome price.
Got my delivery and was excited to get it going only to open the box and the only thing in the box was the light fixture and legs no power supply items. Called BRS and they are replacing it but I now I have to wait another week to get a replacement.
The light has been great on my new SPS tank 120 gallon 4ft. I went with this light because of the built in lighting schedule and I felt it would fit the best in my canopy. The slim lines look great and I have recently moved the light up higher in my canopy by BRS recommendations. I had good spread before but definitely feel my spectrum is better since changing to recommendations. And the slim lines mean I still have 3+ inches of clearance for airflow above the light even at 11 inches off the water! I am slowly working up the par and right now am sitting at mostly 180 throughout my rock level 6-9 inches from the bottom of the tank. Having plenty of room under the light to work is great when you need to do maintenance on pumps or place new coral. I have a new bird-nest that has doubled in size in the two weeks I have had it with double the branches. Though I can probably get 60-70% more Par by ramping up the settings my acro's look good and I have been tanking this whole tank build slow (started 7-8 months ago now and only had coral for maybe 2 months). The light makes the corals really pop especially with BRS settings! My LFS uses this light on almost all their tanks and it looks even better than the Kessil ones in my oppinion and I am a huge Kessil fan! That was my plan before I saw these lights and I am glad I went with these instead of Kessil or Radion. Each light has it's own place but for a 4ft 120g tank I believe that it doesn't get any better than this. I have a very blanketed spread and no shading so far but I may one day add some T5 as it comes so heavily recommended Thanks to how thin and compact the light is I have plenty of room to add 2x dual 36 or 48inch fixtures one on either side slightly below the LED height. Anyway so far the light is more than I need for my sps tank and with 9 sps corals that are all doing good I am happy!
Was on the fence about some Radions or a single Razor. I did endless research. I am so glad I went with the Razor. It looks great suspended from the ceiling. 4' light for a 4' tank. The intensity is perfect for all my coral. SPS and LPS have really grown and showing great coloration. Very impressed with the light quality, especially at a lower price point.
I got my fixture last week. After a week , I'm still amazed about the colors of my corals. LPS AND SPS. I can seat down for hrs and watching. The only bad thing is , I got the hanging kit. And the screws won't fit. Wrong size. You have to drill the existing hole a little bigger. Other than that is good.
This light is absolutely amazing! Its very light weight and easier to program than I thought it would be. Definitely worth the money.
I have this light on my 120g mixed reef. It looks good and corals seem to like it. Easy to setup using the preset channels.
My tank has never looked so good and my corals love it they are bigger and nicer just in the first day. Glad we got this light..
