Bought these to cut down on the harsh glare radions give if you mount the lights high up. Easy install, the magnets snap right into the lights. Took one star off because expensive and the translucent film/cover is a really thin and cheap piece of plastic. Expected it to be higher quality.

I have had this installed since day one and have never had a single issue with it. I take it off to clean regularly. It has magnets on it which makes it easy to remove if needed. It is a must have for radion lights.

The diffuser went right into place with the magnet mounts. There is no gap between the light or the diffuser. With it on the light it looks seemly 1 with the light. I think it was a little pricey for what it is but worth it with the ultra smooth color blending. When the diffuser is on it does decrease the PAR some do with a PAR meter I rechecked my PAR levels and adjusted according.

I have no idea why some people report issues with the G5 diffuser. The magnets are solid and the lens sticks tightly. There is no light bleed around the seams. Install time, and I'm not exaggerating, was about 10 seconds each. And that included me taking them out of the box. The G4 diffusers are apparently a lot more work to install and Ecotech fixed that. The diffusers work as promised and smooth out the light. As an added benefit, it really makes the fixtures look a lot nicer too. All those LEDs, when uncovered and lit, look like a weird holiday ornament as compared to my Kessils. The diffuser makes the Radion fixture look like the premium product that it is. Frankly, for the cost, they should just simply be included with the lights and the user can decide if they want them on or not. That being said, I can't think of a single reason to not use them as it cuts down on the "disco party" on my sand bed. Still doesn't have a comparable shimmer to my Kessils, but I'm running both at the same time with T5's, so the best of all 3 worlds. I'll check the PAR readings again next week, but I would be surprised if it dropped more than 50. Considering I'm only running the Radions at 40% and have PAR readings of 500 at the top of my rock (with all the lights), I have plenty of room to bump the Radions up and get the 50 back. Very happy with the diffuser purchase and I'd highly recommend.

Expect some PAR reduction when using the diffuser, but it’s not an exorbitant amount. Rechecking your PAR levels is advised. Magnets are plenty strong enough to hold it in place, but if you knock it with your hand or otherwise cause it to slide, it will fall into the tank. It won’t fall in on its own though unless you’re having an earthquake. As far as the fit, there’s no light bleeding through from any seams. The way it’s made and fits the lights, I don’t even see how that would be possible. It sits flush and firmly against the outer perimeter of the housing.

Have attached to G5 XR15 Blue model. Been on for about a month with no problems, stays attached firmly has not fallen off and I see no light from the seam. Works as intended
