PhosBan Phosphate Adsorption Media is a highly effective filter media from Two Little Fishies, specifically engineered to meticulously remove phosphates and silicates from saltwater aquariums. Composed of synthetic ferric oxide hydroxide granules, this advanced media actively binds these unwanted substances, ensuring they are permanently removed from the water column and not re-released. This powerful adsorption media is available in convenient 1/3 lb (150g) and 1 lb (454g) sizes to suit various aquarium needs. The 1/3 lb container is capable of treating up to 600 liters (158 gallons) of marine water, with a recommended usage of 50g per 50 gallons for saltwater systems. Its unique formulation guarantees that once phosphates and silicates are adsorbed, they remain locked within the media. PhosBan Phosphate Adsorption Media is an indispensable tool for any saltwater reef aquarist striving to maintain crystal-clear water and prevent the proliferation of nuisance algae. By consistently reducing phosphate and silicate levels, it fosters a healthier, more stable environment crucial for the vibrant growth of corals and the overall well-being of fish, making it ideal for both new setups and established reef tanks facing nutrient management challenges.

Has never failed to do the job with or without a reactor
Very good value for money and works very well. We will keep using this and continue ordering it from here.
Try the rest, and come back to the best. Do your research.
Very happy, I use this product frequently and is so good
I like the properties of this product, doesn't leach back int the system. Easy to use. Definately helps keep phodphates down
Ever since I started using Phos-Ban and changing it once a month, I have had no troubles with phosphates in my tank at all. It works as advertised and I will continue to buy it and recommend it to others.
Does exactly what it is suppose to do
With the exception of having to dial in the flow on my reactor to avoid the fine dust of the Phos-Ban it works just great and has already reduced my Phosphates in half.
Works better than the BRS brand. The BRS brand has more fine particles that plug up the filter mesh quicker.
I have tried many others, This one is the best in my 150 media reactor. Tumbles without channeling.
love it my phosphate is at zero with api test kit, using in sump flow going thru no problems at all just good results, thank you
I have not used GFO before, and had set my expectations based on the videos I had seen of GFO tumbling in a reactor. I think that would turn this into powder and it would all end up in the tank. The 1/3 lb container included a fine mesh nylon bag, which is perfect for this. I dumped 1/3 of this (50 grams) into the bag and put the bag in a canister filter and in less than two days the phosphates were no longer detectable with a Salifert kit. There is almost no algae in the tank after one week. This is good stuff.
