MarinePure High Performance Biofilter Media Spheres are advanced ceramic bio-media designed to provide an ideal environment for beneficial bacteria in saltwater reef aquariums. This highly porous filter media effectively eliminates harmful ammonia and significantly lowers nitrates, ensuring a healthier and more stable aquatic environment for your fish and corals. It is engineered to optimize the biological filtration process, making it an essential component for maintaining pristine water quality.

Utilizing cutting-edge Thin Bio-Film Technology, MarinePure spheres feature a vast surface area combined with open, interconnected pores. This unique structure allows for the development of a thin, efficient bacterial biofilm where nutrients are readily available, promoting robust bacterial growth. The open pore design also ensures that old, dead biofilm is easily flushed away, preventing clogging and maintaining optimal water flow through the media rather than around it. This inert media will not harm aquarium inhabitants and offers a smaller filtration footprint compared to other bio-media.

This high-performance biofilter media is ideal for reef aquarists seeking superior biological filtration, reduced tank maintenance, and the ability to support higher fish loads. Its versatility allows for use in various applications, including in-tank setups, sumps, canister filters, DIY filters, trickle or shower filters, waterfall filters, and hang-on-back filters, making it suitable for a wide range of aquarium systems. By providing more consistent water chemistry and excellent value, MarinePure helps both novice and experienced hobbyists achieve a thriving and stable reef ecosystem.
