The Maxi-Jet 900 Powerhead from Marineland is a versatile and essential piece of equipment for both saltwater and freshwater aquariums, designed to provide crucial internal water movement and aeration. This innovative pump offers two distinct modes: a powerful powerhead mode delivering 230 GPH for focused flow, and a robust circulation mode generating an impressive 1000 GPH for broad water distribution. Its fully rotational output ensures precise placement of flow, enhancing overall tank health and aesthetics. Key features include an integrated venturi aeration device, which optimizes gas exchange and oxygenation within your aquarium, all while operating quietly thanks to its built-in silencer. An adjustable air filter allows you to fine-tune air volume and water mixing to suit your specific tank requirements. This compact unit consumes only 10 watts of power and measures 3.25" x 3.5" x 2", with an inlet designed for 3/4" ID tubing and an outlet for 1/2" ID tubing, capable of a maximum head pressure of 4 feet. It also includes an optional high flow impeller and shroud, transforming it into a more dispersed, high-volume powerhead. The Maxi-Jet 900 Powerhead is an excellent choice for reef keepers and freshwater enthusiasts alike who require adaptable internal flow solutions and efficient aeration without excessive noise. Its dual-mode functionality makes it ideal for various applications, from general circulation to targeted flow, ensuring your aquarium inhabitants thrive. However, it is important to note that this pump is not recommended for use in high back-pressure situations such as reactors, where it may operate louder than intended.
