The Hanna HI784 Marine Ammonia Checker HC is a handheld colorimeter engineered specifically to measure ammonia concentrations in saltwater aquariums using the Beer-Lambert principle. This device provides precise colorimetric readings within a range of 0.00 to 2.50 ppm, offering a reliable alternative to traditional chemical test kits for monitoring water quality in marine environments.

Designed for ease of use and superior accuracy, this compact instrument eliminates the guesswork associated with visual color matching found in standard reagent tests. Weighing only one pound, its small size ensures portability while delivering laboratory-grade precision for critical ammonia detection, making it an essential tool for maintaining stable water parameters without the need for bulky equipment.

This checker is ideal for both coral and fish-only reef aquarium hobbyists as well as marine biology professionals who require rapid and accurate data to ensure the health of their aquatic inhabitants. By providing consistent measurements that are easier to interpret than manual kits, it empowers aquarists to take immediate action against ammonia spikes and maintain a thriving saltwater ecosystem.
