Aqua Natural Live Filter Media Ceramic Rings provide essential biological filtration for both new and established saltwater and freshwater aquariums. These highly porous ceramic rings are pre-seeded with live beneficial bacteria, enabling them to immediately jumpstart the nitrogen cycle by efficiently breaking down harmful ammonia and nitrite into less toxic nitrate, ensuring crystal-clear water and stable water chemistry from day one. Each 16 oz can of this durable filter media is capable of supporting up to 50 gallons of aquarium water, offering a massive surface area for robust bacterial colonization without breaking down or dissolving over time. Its versatile design makes it ideal for use in various filtration systems, including canister filters, sumps, hang-on-back filters, media reactors, and media bags. This product is safe and effective for both saltwater and freshwater environments. This live filter media is perfect for aquarists initiating a new tank setup, those upgrading their existing filtration, performing deep cleaning, or needing to support a higher biological load. By providing an instant boost of beneficial bacteria, Aqua Natural Live Filter Media helps maintain a balanced ecosystem, allowing all tank inhabitants to thrive without the lengthy wait associated with dry media or the temporary effects of liquid additives.
