The Iwaki WMD-40RLXT is a high-performance external water pump renowned for its durability and reliability in demanding saltwater aquarium applications. Engineered with a robust American motor, this pump is specifically designed for high-flow circulation tasks where water encounters minimal resistance or back pressure. It serves as an excellent choice for return pump applications from a sump, driving closed-loop circulation systems, or feeding various aquarium accessories that require consistent and powerful water movement.

This model boasts an impressive flow rate of 1200 gallons per hour, making it suitable for larger aquarium systems. It features a maximum head height of 15.4 feet and operates with a 1.9 amp draw. The pump's compact dimensions of 11.1 inches by 4.4 inches by 5.25 inches allow for flexible placement within your filtration area. For straightforward plumbing integration, it comes equipped with standard 1-inch MPT inlet and outlet connections, ensuring compatibility with common PVC fittings.

The Iwaki WMD-40RLXT is best suited for the serious aquarist who prioritizes long-term reliability and raw power over modern features like controllability or silent operation. Its design is ideal for systems with simple, low-restriction plumbing, such as feeding a manifold or a basic sump return line.
