The Sicce Shark Mini Surface Skimmer is a compact and efficient device designed to eliminate the unsightly oily biofilm that often accumulates on the surface of saltwater aquariums. By continuously pulling water from the surface, it effectively removes organic waste, dust, and oils, which in turn improves gas exchange and allows for better light penetration to your corals and other inhabitants. Its primary function is to maintain a crystal-clear water surface, contributing significantly to the overall health and aesthetic appeal of your reef tank.

This skimmer boasts a modern, discreet design that integrates seamlessly into your aquarium's background. It attaches securely to the glass with a powerful external magnet, with models available for glass thickness up to 12mm. Key features include an adjustable flow rate, a unique rotating intake for optimal surface cleaning, and a skimmer float with a 30mm excursion to automatically adapt to changing water levels. For added safety, a protective grid prevents small fish and invertebrates from entering the inlet, while a 30 ppi foam sponge provides effective mechanical filtration.

The Sicce Shark Mini is an ideal solution for aquarists with nano tanks or larger aquariums that lack a built-in overflow system. It is perfect for hobbyists who want to specifically target and remove surface film without adding a bulky or complicated piece of equipment. Its ease of installation via the magnetic mount, adjustable performance, and compact footprint make it a valuable tool for anyone seeking to improve water clarity and quality in a visually unobtrusive way.
