The IceCap Granular Activated Carbon 15 lb bulk container is a high-porosity chemical filtration media designed to remove dissolved organics, discoloration, odors, and other compounds that gradually degrade water quality in saltwater aquariums. Produced by IceCap, this premium carbon works through adsorption to trap impurities within its extensive internal microscopic pore structure as water passes through, effectively addressing issues that mechanical filtration often leaves behind. By continuously cycling water through this media, aquarists can significantly improve clarity and create a cleaner overall presentation for their marine systems.

This high-quality granular activated carbon is produced with a focus on maximum surface area to ensure efficient removal of yellowing agents and dissolved waste compounds that accumulate from feeding and livestock activity. The 15 lb bulk quantity provides a substantial volume for extended use, making it an ideal solution for maintaining consistent water chemistry over long periods without frequent replacement. Its high porosity allows for rapid flow rates while still capturing microscopic contaminants, ensuring that the filtration process remains effective even in systems with high bioloads.

This product is best suited for hobbyists managing large reef aquariums, multiple display tanks, or dedicated fish rooms who require a dependable supply of activated carbon for ongoing maintenance. Whether used continuously to prevent the buildup of invisible dissolved waste or intermittently to clear up water discoloration, this media serves as one of the simplest and most effective ways to maintain pristine water conditions. It is an essential addition for any serious aquarist looking to enhance the health and visual appeal of their saltwater ecosystem through superior chemical filtration.
