The Hydros Start is an all-in-one aquarium controller designed to simplify aquatic monitoring and control for reef and freshwater setups. This smart device allows users to effortlessly manage essential functions such as temperature monitoring and power distribution for up to four devices directly from their tank sump or stand. It serves as a central hub that connects with the HYDROS App, enabling cloud-based management so aquarists can monitor and adjust settings from anywhere in the world via WiFi connectivity.

Engineered with a fast dual-core 32-bit processor, this unit handles system logic efficiently while maintaining local control capabilities even if internet access is interrupted. The controller features 8 amp outlets for each connection with a total maximum amperage of 14 amps, alongside dedicated drive ports capable of handling specific HYDROS equipment at 1.5 amps per port. Physical dimensions measure 9.5 by 4.75 inches, making it compact enough to fit in most sumps, and it includes a 6-foot power cord along with an integrated temperature sensor for immediate environmental awareness.

Ideal for both beginners taking their first steps into automated aquarium care and experienced hobbyists looking to expand an existing system, this controller offers scalable functionality without complexity. Users can enhance the base package with optional accessories to detect leaks, monitor water levels, or manage additional 12V components as their reef tank needs grow over time. Assembled in the USA with meticulous engineering, the Hydros Start provides reliable support and a user-friendly interface that makes advanced tank automation accessible to everyone regardless of technical experience level.
