The Hanna Marine Phosphate Checker HI-713 is a digital colorimeter designed to provide simple, accurate, and cost-effective measurements for phosphate levels in saltwater aquariums. Unlike standard chemical test kits that require subjective color matching, this handheld device delivers a precise digital readout, eliminating guesswork and ensuring you have reliable data to maintain your reef's health. Accurately monitoring phosphate is crucial for controlling nuisance algae growth and promoting healthy coral calcification, making this tool an essential part of any reef keeper's maintenance routine.

This compact and lightweight checker offers a more precise alternative to traditional test kits with its digital measurement system. It features a simple one-button operation, making the testing process quick and straightforward for aquarists of all levels. The large, easy-to-read LCD display provides a direct reading of phosphate concentration in parts per million (ppm), allowing for consistent and repeatable results every time you test your water parameters. The device uses specific reagents to ensure accuracy for the low ranges of phosphate typically found in reef aquariums.

This phosphate checker is ideal for any saltwater aquarist who wants to move beyond basic color-matching kits and achieve a higher level of precision in water testing. It is particularly beneficial for reef tank enthusiasts who maintain SPS and other sensitive corals, where even small fluctuations in phosphate can have a significant impact. By providing clear, unambiguous digital results, the HI-713 empowers hobbyists to make informed decisions about filtration, feeding, and supplementation, leading to a healthier and more stable aquatic environment.
