Description

Equalizer Filter Media is a specialized media designed for saltwater aquariums where activated carbon might be contraindicated. It gently removes fine particulate particles and organics while helping to control ammonia, nitrates, and phosphates without the forceful nature of traditional activated carbon. This product is recommended by Dr. Tim's Aquatics for use in reef tanks, plant systems, or soft water aquaria. Users should rinse one cup (240 ml) of Equalizer for every 35 gallons of aquarium water before placing it in a filter bag and positioning it within the sump, filter, or other part of the system.
