The Reef Octopus Elite 150SSS is a high-performance, in-sump protein skimmer designed to efficiently remove dissolved organic compounds from your saltwater aquarium. As a crucial piece of life support equipment, it works by creating a dense foam column that traps and exports waste before it can break down into harmful nitrates and phosphates. This process results in superior water clarity, increased oxygen levels, and a healthier environment for sensitive coral and fish, making it an essential component for any thriving reef ecosystem.

This skimmer features a space-saving design, allowing it to fit into tight sump compartments without sacrificing performance. It is constructed from high-quality cast acrylic and equipped with a powerful, yet quiet, controllable DC pump, giving you precise control over foam production for optimal skimming. The super cone body shape promotes a stable transition from the bubble chamber to the collection cup, maximizing contact time and enhancing waste removal efficiency for a consistent and reliable performance.

The Elite 150SSS is ideal for the discerning reef aquarist with a moderately to heavily stocked aquarium, typically up to 210 gallons. Its compact footprint makes it a perfect solution for hobbyists with modern, compact sumps or those looking to upgrade their filtration in a limited space. For reef keepers who demand precision, quiet operation, and top-tier build quality, this skimmer provides the professional-grade filtration necessary to maintain pristine water conditions for a successful reef tank.
