These Eheim Coarse Prefilters are essential replacement media designed specifically for Eheim Compact 2000, 3000, and 5000 series pumps. They serve as the crucial first stage of mechanical filtration, efficiently capturing larger particulate matter and detritus from your aquarium water. By preventing these larger particles from entering the pump impeller or clogging finer filtration media, they maintain optimal water flow and contribute to a healthier, clearer reef environment.

Each pack contains two coarse foam prefilters, ensuring you have a spare on hand for routine maintenance. Made from durable, high-quality coarse foam, these filters are engineered to fit perfectly with the specified Eheim Compact pump models, providing a tight seal and reliable performance. Their robust construction allows for effective removal of suspended solids without significantly impeding water circulation.

This 2-pack of Eheim Coarse Prefilters is ideal for any reef aquarist utilizing an Eheim Compact 2000, 3000, or 5000 pump who seeks to maximize filtration efficiency and protect their equipment. Regular replacement of prefilter media is vital for preventing detritus buildup, maintaining water clarity, and extending the lifespan of your pump and other filtration components, making this a fundamental maintenance item for pump owners.
