The Drawstring Filter Sock 100 Micron 7 x 32 is an essential mechanical filtration component for saltwater aquariums. Designed to remove small floating particles from your aquarium water, this sock dramatically improves water quality, leading to a healthier and more visually appealing reef environment. It works by catching fine detritus and organic waste before it can break down in your system.

Measuring 7 inches by 32 inches, this 100-micron polyester filter sock features a thick floss material, highly effective at trapping even the finest particles like dust, silt, and excess food. Its convenient drawstring allows for easy attachment directly to existing plumbing, ensuring a secure fit and efficient water flow through the filtration media. The durable felt construction ensures longevity and reliable performance.

This filter sock is ideal for reef keepers seeking crystal clear water and reduced maintenance. By regularly rotating and cleaning these socks, you can significantly reduce ammonia and nitrate-producing organic waste accumulation, lessen the burden on biological filtration, and protect expensive pump motors from damage caused by sand or larger debris. It is a simple yet highly effective tool for maintaining pristine water conditions in any sump or overflow.
