The CoralVue Hydros Leak Sensor is a crucial accessory for any HYDROS-controlled aquarium, designed to provide immediate detection of freshwater or saltwater leaks. This solid-surface sensor plugs directly into any available Sense Port on a HYDROS device, such as the Control 2 or Control 4, and instantly begins monitoring for moisture. By sensing the presence of water in places it shouldn't be, the sensor acts as a first line of defense, triggering automated actions to protect your aquarium, stand, and home from catastrophic water damage.

Setting up the leak sensor is incredibly straightforward and requires no external power source. Simply place the detector in a strategic location like your sump cabinet, under an RO/DI system, next to a mixing station, or near an ATO reservoir. Through the HYDROS app, you can easily configure a wide range of custom responses, from sending a mobile alert to your phone and flashing a warning light on your controller to automatically shutting down pumps or protein skimmers. Unlike many competing products prone to corrosion, the HYDROS Leak Sensor is completely encapsulated with a safety seal, making it impregnable to rust and ensuring long-term reliability.

This leak sensor is an essential investment for any aquarist seeking peace of mind and proactive protection for their system. It is particularly valuable for reefers who rely on complex plumbing, automated top-off systems, and external equipment where the risk of a leak is always present. Whether you are at home or away, this sensor provides the assurance that you will be the first to know about a potential problem, giving you the control to mitigate damage before it becomes a disaster. It is the perfect, durable solution for hobbyists who want to safeguard their investment in their aquarium and their home.
