Though the Ammonia card is hard for me to read at the low end of the range. This kit has slightly more difficult instructions and explanations. It's very accurate to Hanna Checkers and vice versa. Read every bit of the instructions for each test kit and you will not get frustrated by it.... My poor wife is annoyed with me for not letting her use the Hanna Checkers. But she is starting her own tank. So we all must suffer some frustration
Nitrate/Nitrite are the only tests that are actually nice with good ranges and colors, ammonia and KH tests are ok, phosphate test is not really worth it and the pH test is good enough.
if you know how you fallow steps correctly this test is super accurate and well worth the money and then some. but hear is the bad and why I did not give 5 starts. you get 2 vials and I think you should get one for each test. seconds dictions are on the worst paper in the world. if you breath the paper gets wet. it should be a easy to read laminated card I made one for the test but the seller should know better and supplied. I get it different languages for all to read. the good. the test results the charts everything is great... except the soaking wet instructions.
I got this kit to try out and so far am pleased. I have the Hanna checkers for ALK and Phos and this reads close to them, as far as I can tell by the eye test. At a price point between API and Red Sea it is a good alternative. I would have given 5 stars but got 2 instruction sheets for ammonia and none for the nitrate. You can get the directions on their web site so it's not a problem, but it is a simple mistake that shouldn't have been made.
