Aquaforest Carbon is a high-quality, activated granular carbon designed for saltwater aquariums. It immediately and effectively removes impurities that cause water discoloration or cloudiness, significantly enhancing clarity. This powerful filter media also eliminates medication residues and various compounds that accumulate in the aquarium water, ensuring a pristine environment.
Unlike many other carbons activated with phosphorus acid, Aquaforest Carbon is activated by steam, guaranteeing it is completely phosphate-free. It excels at removing harmful substances generated by the “chemical war” between corals, making it particularly beneficial for mixed-reef tanks. For optimal results, use 100 mL of carbon for every 27 gallons of saltwater, replacing it every four weeks.
This product is ideal for mixed-reef aquariums and is a perfect fit for Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS) heavily stocked with SPS corals. It is highly recommended for use with the Aquaforest Probiotic system or any other system aiming to create a ULNS, as it prevents the buildup of toxins and unwanted chemicals. Aquaforest Carbon ensures crystal clear water and a healthier reef environment for all types of saltwater tanks.
