The Bubble Magus Extreme Curve 7EX is a high-performance, in-sump protein skimmer designed to efficiently remove dissolved organic waste from your saltwater aquarium. By injecting a massive amount of fine air bubbles into the water column, this skimmer creates a stable foam that captures and isolates proteins and other pollutants before they can break down into harmful nitrates and phosphates. This process is crucial for maintaining superior water clarity, increasing oxygen levels, and providing a healthier environment for your fish and corals. Engineered for power and efficiency, the Curve 7EX is driven by the reliable ROCK SP3.0 pump, which consumes a modest 20 watts of power while drawing an impressive 660 liters per hour of air. Its signature curved body design maximizes the reaction chamber volume, promoting longer bubble contact time for more effective waste removal. This unit measures 7.87" x 9.25" x 20.87" and is designed to operate in a consistent water depth of 7 to 8 inches, making it a compact yet powerful option for most sump configurations. This skimmer is the perfect solution for reef aquarists managing medium to large systems, specifically tanks ranging from 132 to 238 gallons. It is particularly well-suited for heavily stocked aquariums or those housing sensitive corals that demand pristine water conditions. The combination of a high air intake, a proven pump, and an effective body design makes the Bubble Magus Curve 7EX an excellent choice for serious hobbyists seeking reliable nutrient export to support a thriving reef ecosystem.
