Brightwell Carbonit-P is a premium pelletized activated carbon designed for use in all marine and freshwater aquariums. It effectively removes dissolved organic material from water, enhancing overall water quality and promoting a higher oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), which is crucial for a healthy reef environment. This high-capacity filter media helps to clarify water and eliminate latent organic compounds that can degrade water parameters. This activated carbon boasts desirable physical and chemical characteristics, including a high capacity for organic removal (high Molasses number) and a high Iodine number. It features low ash content, minimal dust, and is verified to have immeasurable phosphate levels using lab-grade analysis equipment. The average particle size is optimized to encourage optimal water flow and maximize its effectiveness, making it suitable for both canister filters and passive filtration methods. Brightwell Carbonit-P is ideal for reef aquarists and freshwater enthusiasts seeking to maintain pristine water conditions and a vibrant aquatic ecosystem. Its premium quality ensures efficient removal of impurities with minimal impact on pH, safeguarding sensitive inhabitants. By regularly employing this high-grade carbon, hobbyists can prevent the buildup of undesirable organic compounds, leading to clearer water, healthier corals, and more robust fish.
