Brightwell Aquatics Purit Next Generation Chemical Filtration Media by Brightwell Aquatics - Supplements

Description

Brightwell Aquatics Purit is an advanced, next-generation chemical filtration media designed for use in all marine and freshwater aquaria. This innovative product combines enhanced activated carbon, which offers superior chemical filtration characteristics compared to traditional activated carbon, with NSF-grade ion-exchange and adsorptive resins. Its primary function is to effectively remove a broad spectrum of impurities from aquarium water, including chloramines, ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, silicate, heavy metals, and dissolved organic material, while significantly improving water clarity.

This powerful media facilitates crucial decomposition and oxidation/reduction reactions within the aquarium, thereby enhancing the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) and dramatically improving overall water quality. For optimal performance, it is highly recommended to use a mechanical pre-filter to remove particulate organic material prior to Purit, which prolongs the media's effectiveness. Slowing the flow of water through the media, ideally with forced, laminar flow in a canister filter, will result in more rapid and efficient extraction of impurities, especially during initial applications to significantly decrease latent dissolved organic material.

Brightwell Aquatics Purit is best suited for dedicated reef aquarists and serious freshwater hobbyists who demand the highest standards of water purity and clarity for their aquatic environments. It provides an exceptional solution for maintaining stable water parameters, reducing common pollutants that stress inhabitants, and fostering a vibrant, healthy ecosystem. This advanced formulation offers a significant upgrade over conventional filtration methods, ensuring a pristine habitat for all aquarium life.
