Phosphat-E is a liquid phosphate remover designed to eliminate reactive phosphate from saltwater aquariums immediately upon addition. It is safe for use in both reef and marine fish-only tanks, helping to maintain optimal water conditions by reducing levels of dissolved organic material that can lead to nuisance algae growth. Each milliliter removes one part per million (ppm) of phosphate from 4 US gallons of water, making it highly effective at concentrations over 50% stronger than most competing products.

I started out at .25 on my 425XL G2. I slowly dripped 2.5ml each day in my overflow til I reached .03. It took about 7 days! I’ve been trying all kinds of remedies to reduce phosphates and this is the only thing that worked! Use very slow, have a good skimmer and filter socks/fleece filter. Do not over dose to achieve fast result. No coral and no fish loss for me!
this works well, but be sure to drip it into a skimmer or filter sock, precipitate can harm fish gills
I’m still new to the game. I started testing phosphates about 2-3 months after cycling and my Hanna ULR registered.9. Didn’t assume it was bad until I read more and more about it. Tried GFO, bulk water changes and still no dice. Dosed this bad boy at 50% of the max recommended dose for 3 days and now I’m at .79. I know this isn’t a fix and I gotta check out my fuge and feeding habits, overall it’s nice to know that I can use this whenever my phosphate falls out of range I didn’t have any adverse effects at 50% of max dose on any livestock. My Duncan did close 1 out of 3 days I dosed, I do think that may have been for another reason. In addition to that, I just drop the doses right next to my skimmer
Several counts of this product killing fish. I used this on occasion as directed. I was getting to the bottom of the bottle lately and my multiple tangs begin to breath extreme. Ive read a number of similar happenings on forums. Even a few drops of this in my 120 had extreme effects on my fish. Use with extreme caution. Or better yet not at all brightwell's makes strong good product's but in this case lanthanum chloride can be dangerous.
Added slowly as directed into my sock filter. 25ml for 210 gal tank and my large 1.5 ft Yellow Fiji leather went downhill quickly. Removed sock filter and increased carbon filtration. Hopefully it will recover.
After cycling my tank for 4 months I was about to start adding coral so I purchased the Hanna ULR(ppb) Phosphate checker and could not believe my reading was over 2.5ppm. Figured out it was from over feeding. After one 80 % water change my Phosphate was still over 0.6ppm and rising. Phosphate E quickly lowered my phosphorus to an acceptable level. Be very careful not to over dose and lower your phosphate over a period of days and not hours. I am now ready to start adding coral with what are now safe levels of phosphorus. Excellent product that does what is advertises. I would recommend this product to anyone with high levels of phosphate.
This stuff does what it says and removes PO4. I had a problem with color loss in my color and figured out it was the PO4. And yes, I’m new to the hobby. I bought this and it worked great! If you try adding too much at once your corals may get mad and possibly die so go slow!
i recently changed from gfo to this product. my phosphates went from .3 to .05 and it is so much easier to dial in at .05 then gfo.
This stuff works EXACTLY as it says it does. Down to the decimal. Calculate very carefully. Check your math. Measure twice, cut once. I can't imagine anyone ever needing to buy more of this. I'll probably be able to give this bottle to my grandchildren.
BRS actually sent me this by mistake instead of the PO4x4 media I ordered. Since I had to wait for them to ship the right product, which they quickly did, I went ahead and gave this a try. Followed the directions and it worked flawlessly. Did briefly cloud the water, but the skimmer and socks quickly filtered it out along with the phosphate. I will keep a bottle of this in my arsenal from now on. I can see it being really useful for when you don't change your GFO in time and phosphates creep up. Dose this and the following day install new GFO. That way you don't waste a bunch of GFO trying to get the numbers back down.
Removed phosphates just like it says
I dosed PO4 to outcompete dinoflagellates with green algae. I overdosed by miscalculation over a month ago and have been doing water changes and adding GFO nonstop and the PO4 levels remained above 2.5 which is the highest my Hanna checker goes. I added 60 ml to my 250 gallons of water and sure enough, 12 hours later .77 was my PO4 reading. I am very happy with this product and it is much cheaper than GFO will less hassle.
