What else are they going to come up with next. I purchased one a few months ago and it rocks the chaeto like a superstar! It is the distribution of light that makes the difference. I purchased another one for the other tank and same thing. Then I purchased 2 of the grow 12" lights for better dispersion and it made my whole tank come alive. I put one on each tank between the two lights and it sits there without any mounting equipment. Shadows were almost gone. Now I grow frags in the refuge! It stops some of the rippling effect and gives a balance. I am looking inside the tank and not just at it now. Totally sold on these. They act like the T5's without all the headaches. They can also be connected to each other with a trip to the hardware store. I put one on an innovative 15 with a flexible mount (with a small hardware part) and it dispersed the light way better than the Ai16 I had.
Find it hard to believe that AI is not aware of the issue mentioned in other Blade reviews. The side with the wire is brighter, and very noticeable in the refugium light since you are running red lights. Half the refugium is purple and the other half is white. Not so noticeable in other spectrums and don't care enough to return as the refugium is in the sump room and sure it will work just fine. Was thinking of supplementing 2 AI Coral GROW with my 3 X30s but will need to hold until this known issue is addressed.
