This mechanical pre-filter media is designed to catch coarse particles of dirt and debris within your aquarium system. By trapping these larger contaminants early in the filtration process, it protects downstream filter components from rapid soiling and extends the maintenance intervals for other media types. Constructed from fine residue-free polyester material, this pad offers consistent mechanical filtration without shedding fibers into the water column. It is specifically engineered to function effectively in both saltwater and freshwater aquarium environments while maintaining optimal water flow rates through standard Juwel filter systems. Reef keepers and marine hobbyists looking for reliable mechanical pre-filtration will benefit from using this floss to maintain crystal clear water quality. It is an essential addition for any tank owner seeking to reduce cleaning frequency on primary biological media while ensuring a healthy environment for sensitive corals and fish.
